About the Show
Learning & Product Expo: Art! is a 4 day event that consists of a workshop program of 200 art classes in all mediums and techniques as well as an exhibit hall of art material manufacturers selling supplies at a discount. Attendees can learn about art products directly from manufacturers and see free demonstrations. The 3rd Annual Chicagoland Western Suburbs expo takes place in Lisle, IL on July 10-12, 2009. The 5th Annual Pasadena, CA expo takes place October 16-18, 2009. The Juried Art Show takes place at each event and is growing into a prestigious venue for artists to display their work.

MICHAEL SAINTLUKE-ROBINSON:
Michael SaintLuke-Robinson is the Academic Director of the Visual Communications at the Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago Campus. Michael has been in the design field for over 20 years.

Eligibility
Open to all fine artists who are over the age of 18 and able to hand-deliver their artwork to the Hickory Ridge Marriott in Lisle, IL on July 8. Entrants must be registered for the expo by June 1. Now EXTENDED TO JUNE 3 (Expo only is sufficient.) All works must be originals conceived and created entirely by the entrant.

Grand Prize: $500, First prize $250, Honorable Mention: product awards
Insurance, Liability, Sales and Delivery of artwork
Finalists’ work is the responsibility of the participant though building security will be provided. Fishback/Gruen, LLC, the Hickory Ridge Marriott, F&W Media, and Blick Art Materials will not be held liable for lost or damaged artwork or copyright infringement. Show management reserves the right to photograph works for publicity purposes. By entering the Juried Art Show, artist agrees to abide by all the rules for the competition.
Learning & Product Expo: Art! will retain a 15% commission on all sales.
Hand Delivery of Artwork only. No shipping is allowed. Finalists must be able to hand deliver artwork to the Hickory Ridge Conference Hotel, 1195 Summerhill Drive, Lisle, IL on Wednesday July between 10 am – 1 pm and pick it up Sunday July 12 between 12noon and 3 pm. A friend or relative may drop off and pick up the work. All artwork must come with a wire, ready to be hung on hooks. All artwork must be clearly marked with the artist name, name or artwork, size and price. Artists must take the packing materials with them at time of delivery.
Entry Rules
Fee: $35 credit card, check or money order payable to Learning & Product Expo: Art!
Entry Requirements: Submit up to 3 original pieces of artwork by mailing a digital image of each on a CD along with entry form and bio/resume. Slides not accepted. Digital images may not be emailed.
1. Entry form: There are two ways to complete an entry form.
A. There is an online entry form that can be found by clicking HERE. Only payments by credit card are accepted for online entry. After online entry is completed, a confirmation will be emailed. Print out 2 copies of the email confirmation and send it with the CD and bio/resume.
B. Alternatively, an entry form can be obtained by downloading it HERE. Print out the entry form, fill out completely and send with check/money order made payable to Learning & Product Expo: Art!, along with CD and bio/resume. No credit card payments by mail.
2. CD:
1. Please write your name, address and telephone number on the CD.
2. Burn the CD for playing on a PC in a “JPEG” format at 72dpi, approximately 1200 X 1800 pixels.
3. All 3 images should be named with the first word of the title of the artwork. Example: “Summer at Grandma’s” should be named “Summer.”
3. Bio/Resume: Please include a bio/resume.
Please remember the competition is open to registered attendees only so please be sure to register by June 3. See "Eligibility" paragraph above.

All entries postmarked not later than Wednesday, JUNE 3. If using overnight delivery service, only U.S Postal Service is accepted.
CDs will not be returned. No email entries.
