Biography:
Julie Fish began painting in 1983 when she asked Benigno Gomez, a nationally acclaimed artist from Honduras, to teach her to paint while she was living in Tegucigalpa. Fish learned her "out of her mind" technique from Gomez and has taught this technique at the Art Expo since 2000. She received an excellent education in clay from William Shinn and Bob Nichols and sold handmade clay Kachinas at the A Gallery in Palm Desert until meeting Bob Burridge in 1995, when she returned to painting. Fish's work has been selling in Gallery Los Olivos in the Santa Ynez Valley, north of Santa Barbara since 1997. Her paintings have made the cover of local magazines and posters for various community events over the years. Sheis first and foremost a teacher and will inspire you to find your inner artist. Her work can be seen at www.juliefish.com
